Debbra Spexet, Urgent Care – Nurse Practitioner

Deb joined our Urgent Care team on May 5th. She earned her Masters of Family Practice through the college of St. Scholastica and her Masters of Adult Practice, as well as, her Bachelor’s Degree as Registered Nurse through UW-Eau Claire. Deb comes to us with a vast amount of experience including employment at St. Marys and Miller Dwan in Duluth, Mayo Health and Spooner Health. She has served as a clinical preceptor for NP’s, EMT’s and CNA’s, coordinated Neurology Nursing education for Essentia Health and has been a public speaker on various topics.

Deb’s interest in healthcare is not surprising when you look into her family history, her great grandmother, grandmother, mother, three sister’s (including her twin) are all nurses and her daughter is currently attending nursing school.

Deb stated that nursing fulfills her. Highlights in her career include hearing “thank you” from her patients and their families, receiving hugs from kids instead of screams and cryies when she examines them and having the ability to help people who appreciate her help.

Deb is married and has four grown children – she is patiently waiting for grandchildren. In her free time she enjoys walking, gardening, cooking, and remodeling and decorating her home and yard.
