Lucy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Minnesota – Minneapolis in 1990. Since graduation, she has truly been a generalist practitioner working initially in a metropolitan acute care hospital covering inpatient and outpatient cardiac rehabilitation, acute and subacute inpatient care, home health care, outpatient orthopedics and long term care. She moved to Hayward in 1995 for the small town lifestyle and outdoor activities that the Hayward area offers. Lucy began working at the Hayward Area Memorial Hospital in 2005 where she primarily treats hospital inpatients and patients in the Transitional Care Unit Program. In 2007 she earned certification in ASTYM treatment – a specialized soft tissue treatment for subacute and chronic muscle and tendon injuries. In 2014 she earned certification on LSVT BIG – a specialized high intensity treatment program for people with Parkinson’s Disease.
In her free time, Lucy enjoys singing, reading, travelling, theater, golfing, biking, skiing, hiking, canoeing, gardening and almost any outdoor activity.
