November 21, 2019 – As part of National Rural Health Day, Hayward Area Memorial Hospital today announced it has been recognized by The Chartis Center of Rural Health and the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) for overall excellence in Outcomes and Patient Perspective. Based on the results of the Hospital Strength INDEX from iVantage Health Analytics, the Performance Leadership Awards reflect top quartile performance among all rural hospitals in the United States in either Quality, Outcomes or Patient Perspective.

The Hospital Strength INDEX is the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance. Celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2020, the INDEX serves as the data foundation for a number of industry-leading rural recognition programs and legislative initiatives.

Hayward Area Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Hayward, Wisconsin serving multiple counties in northwestern Wisconsin. In addition to providing acute care the hospital also offers specialty services including orthopedics and urology. People needing rehabilitation services will find an extensive list of therapy options in the areas of physical, occupational and speech therapy. Those needing infusion services are able to receive care close to home.
