Kory grew up in Cameron, WI and was very active in sports from a young age. After graduating from Cameron High School in 2007, he attended UW-Eau Claire where he majored in Kinesiology and Movement Studies. He graduated from UW-Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2012, and then chose to pursue his graduate education at the University of Minnesota. Kory graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2017 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
While in physical therapy school, Kory gained a special interest in working with patients with orthopedic and sports injuries. He completed two clinical internship rotations specializing in these populations at MVP Physical Therapy in Lakewood, Washington and UW-Health in Madison, Wisconsin. While in school, Kory also was an active clinician at the Phillips Neighborhood Clinic, treating medically underserved patients with a wide variety of orthopedic conditions.
Kory is TPI certified, which allows him to assess golf-specific injuries and utilize skilled physical therapy rehabilitation techniques to get players of all ages back in the game. He also received his Level 1 Dry Needling Certification through Kinetacore. Dry needling is a great treatment to help reduce pain and treat a variety of musculoskeletal injuries.
In his free time, Kory enjoys participating in outdoor activities, especially golfing and fishing. Other interests include watching all Wisconsin Badgers athletics and playing pickup basketball. Kory is excited to live in the Hayward area and get out and explore the many area lakes and hopes to catch his fair share of fish this season.
