Patient & Visitor Masking Policy
(April 17, 2023) The current masking guidelines were implemented at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital & Water’s Edge senior living. Please note that the guidelines differ between the hospital and senior living facility.
Hospital & Clinic Masking Policy
Masking is NOT required for visitors at this time. Per hospital policy, staff may not be required to wear a mask, but “If you ask, we will mask!”
Patients and visitors should mask if:
- they are experiencing symptoms of illness including cough, congestion, runny nose, sore throat or fever.
- have been exposed to someone who is ill.
Water’s Edge Masking Policy
Visitors are required to wear a mask in public spaces, but may be removed when visiting a private room or apartment. To protect everyone, wear a mask if you have been exposed to someone who is ill. Please postpone your visit if you are experiencing symptoms of illness including cough, congestion, runny nose, sore throat or fever.
Employees are required to wear a mask at all times while in Water’s Edge senior living.
