Our Family Birthplace encourages and supports each mother through their labor and delivery. Each person’s experience is different and unique, it is an honor and privilege to be there with you during the process.
Our private birthing suites and postpartum rooms blend the comforts of home with the safety of the hospital. We offer private rooms, whirlpool tubs, family amenities and room service. Each room has a large window, private bathroom, rocking chair and a sleeping couch for those who want to stay with mother and child.
At the Family Birthplace we have created a facility capable of providing you and your family with a safe and comfortable setting to welcome your newest family member. Here you will experience labor, delivery, recovery and post-birth care all in the privacy of your own room.
95% of deliveries in our family birthplace are attended by the patient’s primary doctor, which means your doctor will be with you from the beginning to end of your pregnancy. Should a c-section be necessary, planned or not, we have highly experienced surgeons on staff who are prepared to help bring your baby into the world.
We stand with the evidence that breastfeeding is best for you and your baby and are committed to making your breastfeeding experience positive. We have trained lactation consultants on staff to help assist mothers in breastfeeding.
We have a variety of classes available to new or expecting parents. Due to restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, these opportunities are now available only online. Please contact Eileen Froemel at efroemel@hamhwe.com or 715-934-4847 for more information or to register for the online classes.

The day you give birth is one of the most important of your life. Creating a birth plan ahead of time helps you make decisions about how you want your labor and delivery to be, and lets others know your wishes. So when the big day arrives, you can focus on what’s most important — bringing your new baby into the world.
A birth plan serves as a road map to follow during your labor and delivery. This can include everything from who you want in the room with you to pain management. Thinking through these things can calm your fears, help you make better decisions in the moment, and be as prepared as possible for what’s coming.
