Family Birthplace – Obstetrics (OB)

Your Family Birthplace

We strive to encourage and support each mother through their labor and delivery. Each person’s experience is different and unique, we consider it an honor and privilege to be there with you during the process.

Our private birthing suites and postpartum rooms blend the comforts home with the safety of the hospital. The Family Birthplace offers private rooms, whirlpool tubs, family amenities and room service. Each room provides a large window, private bathroom, rocking chair and a sleeping couch for those who want to stay with mother and child.

Nursing staff are here to help teach you how to care for your baby after birth. We stand with the evidence that breastfeeding is best for you and your baby. We are committed to making your breastfeeding experience a positive one. We have trained lactation consultants on staff to help assist mothers in breastfeeding.

Free Lactation Consultation Services

Lactation consultants teach mothers how to feed their baby. They help women with breastfeeding problems, such as latching difficulties, painful nursing, and low milk supply. A lactation consultant may also help babies who aren’t gaining enough weight.

A lactation consultant is available by appointment Mondays and Thursdays between the times of 1 pm and 3 pm. Call 715-934-4211 for assistance.
